The Impact Of Drug Abuse

Dear Principal SMA Stella Duce 2 Yogyakarta, whom I respect Mr / Mrs of teachers and school employees Stella Duce 2 Yogyakarta, and friends that I love.

First of all, let us pray our Praise Gratitude into the presence of Almighty God, because of His blessing we can be in this place with the good health. I would like to thank all those who had given the opportunity for me to stand here I’d like to deliver my speech under the title “the impact of drug abuse”.

Basically, drugs are substances used for treatment. Drugs abuse can be endanger for the user it because drugs contain alot of dangerous substances that should not be consumed continuously. And as we know drug is a term that is so popular in Indonesia and the whole world. We know drugs as Narkoba which stands for narcotic, psychotropic and addictive. Drugs are commonly known as shabu and ecstasy. Both substances are widely used by middle and high school students. However, many adults also consume it. Currently, the distribution of drugs has spread across the world, especially in Indonesia. It makes use of the drug in a dangerous phase. Actually, what makes the drug distribution growing so fast in Indonesia? this is due to the strategic location of Indonesia are suitable for use as a drug trafficking pathway, the high number of enthusiasts and drug addicts in Indonesia as well as affordable prices that caused rampant drug trafficking in Indonesia. It concerned right?

Dear teacher and beloved friends.
Then, what is the negative impact of drug use? If the drug is consumed in excess, it will lead to dependency or addiction that causes physical and psychological disorders. for example, damage to the central nervous system and other organs such as the lungs, heart, liver, kidneys and other deadly illnesses such as HIV / AIDS. In addition, drug abuse have an impact on the psychology of the user, such as difficulty concentrating, loss of confidence, apathy, and lead to crime. Drug addicts tend to hurt themselves savory to lead suicide. Moreover, in social life, drug addicts tend to be anti-social and immoral. Mental disorders are sometimes excluded from environmental causes even his family. As a consequence, their education interrupted and bad future life and they'll not receiving in a community environment that eventually led depression and even death.

After seeing some of the facts, we should be alert to the dangers of drugs that threaten us as the young generation. Because today the majority of drug addicts are children of adolescent age. This is caused because adolescence is a phase of self-development into maturity and the period in which the time for self-discovery. Many of us follow the lifestyle of community leaders and follow the trend. Not a problem as long as we follow the positive aspects and benefits to us.

Therefore, as the next generation, it is our responsibility to keep ourselves from a dangerous thing, especially drugs, we have to keep ourselves from the negative effects of the drug because the drug is widespread. Besides the role of families and society is also needed in tackling the drug problem, especially in the delivery of how dangerous drug use for youth as well as negative impacts that can be caused.
